Dr. Nicolai von Roenne becomes co-head of VulkaTec
01 June 2017
In July 2015, Novum Capital and Cologne-based investor BE Beteiligungen acquired a 75 percent stake in urban and roof greening company, VulkaTec Riebensahm, which is based in Kretz/Andernach. This takeover made it possible to implement a succession plan for the company’s founder Dirk Riebensahm. Effective 1 June 2017, the shareholders’ meeting has now appointed Dr. Nicolai von Roenne as co-managing director.
Optimal knowledge transfer
In the interest of optimal knowledge transfer, Dr. Nicolai von Roenne will at first manage the company jointly with Dirk Riebensahm. The latter is looking forward to this cooperation: “I have a high regard for Dr. von Roenne. We plan to continue developing the company’s products and regional footprint together to harness the extensive growth potentials for VulkaTec.” Nicolai von Roenne adds: “I am convinced that we have the innovative capability and customer base needed to expand beyond the borders of Germany. Together with our shareholders, Novum Capital and BE Beteiligungen, we will continue the company’s success story for the benefit of future generations of employees and customers.“
Longstanding experience in the “green economy”
Felix Homann, a partner at Novum Capital, is also delighted with the appointment of the new managing director: “Thanks to his many years of experience, in particular in large and medium-sized companies of the ‘green economy’, Dr. Nicolai von Roenne is a real asset for VulkaTec.” The new co-managing director of VulkaTec has a doctorate in Agricultural Science and has held various top management positions since 2002, mainly in the agricultural and building materials industries and the horticultural sector.
