Beatrice Dreyfus joined Novum Capital in 2008. In addition to her investment activities, she is responsible for CFO matters and investor relations activities and is the contact person for ESG.

Before joining the company in 2008, Beatrice Dreyfus was Managing Director of the investment bank Lazard & Co. in Frankfurt and worked for over 10 years as an adviser on numerous national and international M&A transactions. Prior to this, she worked for the auditing firm Arthur Andersen from 1993 to 1998. During this time, she successfully passed her tax consultant and auditor exams.

Since 2009, Beatrice Dreyfus has been a substitute member of the Supervisory Board of Beiersdorf AG (including two years as a full member) and Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Stylepark AG. She graduated from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, with a degree in business administration.

Felix Hölzer co-founded Novum Capital with Dr. Udo von Klot-Heydenfeldt in 2006. He has 25 years of experience in the investment business. During this time, he has been an investor and member of the advisory board for numerous medium-sized companies – including Ascena (IT personnel services), Aviagen (broiler breeder), Edscha (automotive supplier), Homann (delicatessen), Ista (energy service provider), Mauser (packaging), Symrise (fragrances), and Viatris (pharmaceuticals).

Before co-founding Novum Capital, Felix Hölzer worked for British mezzanine investor Intermediate Capital Group, managing their German operations from 2001 to 2006. Prior to this, he worked for private equity investment firm Palladion Partners from 1998 to 2001. He began his professional career at auditing firm Arthur Andersen.

Felix Hölzer studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with a degree in business administration.

Felix Homann joined Novum Capital in 2012. He has played a major role in shaping the company – in particular the evolution from investments on a deal-by-deal basis to the launch of the first two institutional private equity funds (in 2017 and 2021) with a total fund volume of 225 million euros.

Before joining Novum Capital, he worked for US investment bank Goldman Sachs, within its European Special Situations Group. This group specialises in equity and debt investments in unlisted companies.

Felix Homann holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London and is a CFA® Charterholder. During his time at university, he was awarded a scholarship by the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). He is a member of YPO, a global network of young business leaders.

Gerd Bassewitz joined Novum Capital in 2021. He has 25 years of experience in the private equity business and in advising family businesses, corporations, and financial investors on corporate finance transactions.

Before joining Novum Capital, he was managing director of a private equity fund in Frankfurt specialising in medium-sized succession solutions. Prior to that, Gerd Bassewitz focused on advising entrepreneurs and companies on complex M&A and capital market transactions at, amongst others, Bassewitz & Hochberg, Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank, and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.

Gerd Bassewitz studied economics at universities in Würzburg, England, and Berlin and graduated with a degree in economics from the Free University of Berlin.
