Martin Conder joins Novum Capital

Novum Capital appoints Martin Conder as a director

Novum Capital, a financing specialist for mezzanine and subordinated capital, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Conder (47) as a director. Martin joins Novum Capital after a long and distinguished career in mezzanine investing at Intermediate Capital Group and before that as a corporate financier at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.

From 1983 to 1990 Martin worked at Deloitte Haskins & Sells first as an Audit Manager and later as a Corporate Finance Manager carrying out a variety of advisory assignments covering MBOs, flotation, acquisition due diligence and sale mandates. In 1990, Martin joined ICG and helped in its development and growth from 12 employees and resources of £200m to, at the time he left in 2005, become a FTSE 250 company with 70 employees, offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Madrid and Hong Kong. During his 15 years at ICG, Martin arranged or invested over £360m of mezzanine and equity via 23 investments in a variety of companies in UK, USA, Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Luxembourg, Belgium, Brazil, and Switzerland.

Martin is currently chairman of iBase Systems Limited, an early stage software company. He was educated at New College Oxford.
